I shared a Friday Favorites post earlier this year in which I rounded up 5 of my favorite products. I decided it was about time to do another edition of the Friday Favorites as there are so many products I am currently loving and wanted to share with all of you. This Friday Favorites Post will be focused on 5 beauty products that I am currently loving. I have tried out a number of different products lately and have really fallen in love with several of them.

The first product I want to discuss with you today is the Tula Purifying Face Cleanser. I had previously been using Dermalogica’s Dermal Clay Cleanser but since I have been pregnant my skin has been drier and I have been looking for a less harsh facial cleanser. I do highly recommend Dermalogica’s Clay Cleanser if you tend to have oilier skin. If you haven’t heard about the Tula line, it is a probiotic based line that is toxic free and 100% free from phthalates, parabens, propylene glycol, petrolatum, gluten, and mineral oil, as well as being cruelty free. I became interested in their line as I began researching the importance of probiotics on gut health. I found the idea of using probiotics in skincare so fascinating and decided to give them a try. I have been using the Tula face cleanser for about 6 weeks and the texture and clarity of my skin has totally changed. I have also been using their proglycolic resurfacing gel after I wash my face and could not recommend it more. I have been using it in place of the toner I was previously using. I plan to try one of their moisturizers next.

The second product I want to share is Cover Fx Mattifying Primer. I had never tried wearing a primer before but after trying one I could not go without. It smooths out the texture of your skin and helps to minimize the appearance of pores. My makeup goes on so much smoother when wearing a primer. One thing I love about this particular primer is that is also has an acne fighting ingredient in it. It takes a very tiny amount to cover your face so the bottle has lasted me forever. If you haven’t tried using a primer in your makeup routine, I highly recommend you give this one a try. I just recently bought Cover FX’s Perfect Setting Powder and will let you know how I like it after trying it for a while.

The next item I’m currently loving is Bumble and Bumble’s Invisible Hair Oil. I have always heard good things about Bumble and Bumble products but the higher price point has kept me from giving them a try. I decided to take the plunge as I am looking to try to take better care of my hair and wanted a heat protectant I could use. I grabbed the hairdresser’s invisible oil as I had heard several blogger’s I follow talking about it recently. Since I have been using this primer, I feel like I have noticed significantly less breakage and damage from heat/styling tools. I also scored Bumble and Bumble’s thickening spray. I bought this to achieve more volume when drying and styling my hair. I love that is doesn’t leave a sticky residue like other thickening sprays I have tried while also adding volume.

The fourth product I have become obsessed with is a MAC lipstick in the shade Velvet Teddy. I have always had the hardest time picking out lipstick colors. It is embarrassing how many lipsticks and glosses I have bought only to get home and try them out and find out the color was all wrong. The Velvet Teddy shade is the perfect color to wear year round and the consistency of MAC’s lipsticks is probably one of my favorites.

The last item I wanted to share is the NARs blush in the color Orgasm. I was previously using a Becca blush but felt it was a little too pink on my skin. I wanted something that was a little more subtle. The NARS Oragasm blush is the perfect color for every skin tone. It seriously looks good on everyone. It adds just the right amount of color without being too much. I don’t see myself tiring of this shade anytime soon.
What are some of your favorite beauty products? Are any of the items on my list, something you can’t live without?

The next product I will be discussing is probably my favorite. It is such a lifesaver, especially if you tend to have oily hair like me. I have tried several different types of dry shampoo but the
The next two products I’m going to talk about are facial scrubs. I try to do a scrub or mask at least once a week. One of the facial scrubs that I like is the

started wearing eye shadow. I really had no clue what I was doing when it came to eye shadow so I simply steered clear of it. The thing I like the most about this palette is that it has an option for day wear as well as an option for night. I feel this palette works great with my brown eyes but could also compliment green eyes as well. For my everyday wear, I use the brown shade from the glowing days collection on the crease of my eye lid and then use the lightest shade (True) from my crease to my brow. I then blend the two together. I then use that same light shade on my lid and mix with the Radiant shade from the smoldering nights section. This adds just enough shimmer to be noticed but not come off as too much.

pleased with the product. It definitely worked to give me tanner skin over a period of 5-7 days. You do have to be careful around creases such as your elbows, knees, and ankles. I always apply a moisturizing lotion to these areas before applying the self tanner to help prevent any discoloration. You also want to make sure to wash your hands after applying so that it does not stain your hands. It does have a slight sunscreen-like odor but is not that bothersome. I really recommend this product if you want a gradual tan but if you are looking to get color fast, I think there are better options.

line and decided to give it a try. For me, this product took 4-5 days to see a noticeable difference in color but it does produce a nice color tan. I felt that it comes out more bronze than the Jergens products. Once again with this product you want to make sure you are careful around any creases and that you wash your hands after applying. While I liked the color I achieved with this product, I didn’t like the glitter that is in the product and leaves your skin shimmering like a disco ball. The glitter tends to stay on your skin until you shower again. I felt that the glitter is very noticeable. I also had more trouble with streaking with this lotion than I did either of the Jergen’s options (that could just be operator error though). Once again, the product does achieve a beautiful tan but I would pass on this product simply because of the glitter residue it leaves on your skin.
